So jzx90 went for its cert today.
Brendan from Convert/ Niteparts did all the prep.
Tarran and Lance did some alignment tech modifying to fit it into specs.

All good!

Well, long time no Blog.

What’s been happening?…..
Old ae86 drift car shell is off to a new owner.
Lx90 is about to be certed

Got a new iPhone 5… Awesome!

New 86 is awesome!

Been thinking about ordering a new 86.
Had the opportunity to see the TRD model yesterday.
Brakes are waaaay overboard. But I like the rest.

Big effort by all the boys before the weekend to get the LX rolling and ready for its first road trip for drifting.
Ae86 was just needing a few tweaks and refit the exhaust.
Left the tyretech premise around 1pm and rolled down in convoy. All cars on trailers and 8 or so crew/drivers all up.
Usual shenanigans on the way down.
Just before this shot a can of Pringles was passed between vehicles.

We were greeted by a stiff frost on Sunday morning.

But soon the on track action was in full swing!
Brendan was pedaling the LX like he’d been doing it for years! ( he has!)

Ae86s went well. My one went through the usual high amount of tyres. Not so much gas though.

Jases 86 has its second track outing. Went really well and had a light tap of the fence whilst Manji-ing the straight. Broke a corner light and small scratches. Good to see him keep it out there and getting seat time.

Good weekend on all counts. LX needs some changes to make it a bit more manageable when switching. Maybe stiffer springs all round?
Have an Hid kit going in this week. Will be getting it street legal in the coming weeks also.
Winter is upon us! Wet roads and cold weather to “cruise” about in.

Just got back from an awesome trip to taupo!
Took both cars, ae86 and new Jzx90.

Was greeted with a frosty morning that was cold and clear.

Have quite a few more photos and some video of the cars in action.

Project jzx90 is getting closer!
Most of the bolt on bits are attached.
Greddy intercooler and alloy radiator

Has coil overs fitted and set low.

Brendan from Convert ltd is doing all the conversion wiring and fuel system requirements.
Car has mostly genuine Toyota bits in it as it makes it all fit nicely.

Just needs a few more bits for the computer to start.

Here’s a couple of photos from the recent city scramble event I did.
Was an awesome event and felt completely out of my depth!
Really good crowd and good support even when you stuffed it up.

Coming down off a container log pile:

Had fun but had a massive crash in qualifying which was caused by a front puncture. ( plus lack of skill/ability) felt that for a couple of weeks.
So thanks to redbull for the event and all the crowd for the support.
